Terms and Conditions – 2026 Academic Year *
Oakfields College Higher Certificate in Acting (NQF Level 5) Bursary
1. Eligibility
- Open to students aged 18–20, and individuals finished with Grade 12.
- Students must successfully complete Grade 12 in 2025 to qualify for study in 2026.
- Applicants must prepare for and successfully complete an audition as part of the programme entry requirements.
2. Programme & Bursary Coverage
- Covers the full cost of the one-year Higher Certificate in Acting (up to R80 000), including:
- Audition and registration fees
- Study materials, notes, and textbooks
- Valid only for the 2026 academic year and cannot be deferred or transferred.
- Classes take place in person at one of our two campuses, located in Pretoria and Edenvale. Oakfields College does not offer hybrid or distance learning all programmes are delivered face-to-face to ensure a fully immersive and practical learning experience.
- Exclusions:
- Activewear for participation in practical sessions
- Accommodation, transport, and living expenses
- Any additional or extra-mural costs, travel to shows and performances
3. Bursary Conditions & Obligations Academic & Attendance Requirements
- Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and attendance.
- The bursary may be withdrawn if these standards are not met.
Acceptance & Confirmation
- Bursary may be forfeited if the recipient fails to confirm acceptance by the specified date.
- If the recipient chooses not to complete the programme, full fees, including any bursary funds received, will be payable by the student or their legal parent/guardian.
College Duties & Community Work
- Recipients are required to assist with administrative/college duties and charity/community work as and when requested
- These duties will not interfere with classes or rehearsals but are compulsory.
Marketing & Publicity
- Recipients must make themselves available for press, marketing, and promotional activities related to Oakfields College or the bursary programme.
Progress Reporting
- Recipients must submit a quarterly written report detailing progress, achievements, and personal development within the course.
Future Years & Re-application
- The bursary applies only to 2026 tuition fees.
- If a year is repeated, it will be at the student’s own expense; bursary assistance for repeated years is not guaranteed.
Professional Recognition
- Recipients must include the bursary on CVs and professional bios as follows: “XXX (recipient of the Oakfields College Hot FM bursary)
Community Contribution
- Upon completion of studies, bursary funds do not need to be repaid, but recipients are encouraged to contribute voluntarily or professionally to their community and alma mater.
4. General
- Oakfields College reserves the right to amend or withdraw the bursary at any time.
- This bursary cannot be exchanged for cash.
Acceptance of the bursary constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions outlined above.
